Mitsubishi Releases New Outlander Sport Details

Hey, Orlando drivers, we have something pretty exciting to tell you about the 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport. Not only will it roll into the Sport Mitsubishi showroom later this year, but it will be produced right here in the United States! It's true: the Japanese automaker will move production of the Outlander Sport from the company's home country to Normal, Illinois.

But that's not all - Mitsubishi made a few changes to this popular model for 2013. The front fascia has been reworked, with a smoother bumper and new chrome trim for the foglight and headlamp surrounds. You'll notice similar changes to the rear bumper, as well as restyled side sills that are now all black. 18-inch alloy wheels are now the standard fare for all Mitsubishi Outlander Sport models.

Color options for 2013 will grow by two choices: White Pearl and Quick Silver.

One of the few complaints people had about the previous generation of the Outlander Sport was that its handling could be smoother. As such, Mitsubishi reworked the rear multi-link suspension and CVT for a better driving experience.

Inside, standard features now include a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob,  and Mitsubishi's FUSE hands-free Bluetooth system. Want a premium six-speaker audio system, heated front seats, HID headlights and smart key entry/push button ignition? Check out the top-of-the-line SE trim.

Still powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, the Outlander Sport will achieve an EPA-estimated 31 mpg for 2013. And don't worry - you'll still get to choose between front- or all-wheel drive.

Be sure to stay tuned with Sport Mitsubishi to learn more about the 2013 Outlander Sport. We'll be bringing you more news when it arrives, and we invite you to contact us at your convenience to arrange a test drive of this or any other new Mitsubishi model.
