Mitsubishi EV Ranks as Most Fuel-Efficient Car

Looking for the most fuel-efficient car out there? Well, look no further. That's right, according to the Environmental Protection Agency, the Mitsubishi i EV tops Fuel Economy Guide this year. More specifically, the EV gets a 112 miles per gallon gasoline equivalent (MPGe) rating - that's 13 MPGe more than the leading competitor.

Now available from Don Mealey's Sport Mitsubishi in Orlando, the Mitsubishi i EV is a zippy little electric car with quite the impressive efficiency rating. Published jointly by the EPA and the Department of Energy (DOE), the annual guide features ratings for traditionally powered vehicles as well as alternatively fueled vehicles, including the top EVs on the market. It provides more information for consumers than they can find on the window sticker, including the range of fuel economy for different vehicle classes, tips for improving fuel economy, and a list of the industries leaders.

In a recent press release, Mitsubishi Motors North America President and CEO, Yoichi Yokozawa says, "We are very pleased to see that the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Energy have rated the 2012 Mitsubishi i as the top fuel economy leader in its annual Fuel Economy Guide. With 17,000 i-MiEV-based units produced for various international markets, we look forward to providing North American consumers with an exceptionally well-engineered electric vehicle that has proven itself to be reliable, safe, efficient and very affordable in overall price and cost of operation."1

Needless to say, Don Mealey's Sport Mitsubishi is pleased to see the i EV top the list, too.
